St Saviour’s vision is to be a church that’s alive in Christ to serve the city. We’re passionate to know Jesus and to follow the way of Jesus by spending time in His presence, loving His church, and serving the world. We aim to create a culture where we take God seriously not ourselves, everyone gets to play, and there is room at the table for all.
5 years ago, St Saviour’s entered into a new and exciting chapter of its 150-year-old story. Under the leadership of Rev Pete Hughes, Matt + Anna Seymour were sent with a team from Kings Cross Church (KXC) to join the existing congregations at St Saviours and bring fresh leadership for the unfolding story as they together pursued God’s heart for the church and the local area.
A new season now begins. Matt + Anna take on overall leadership, joined by new faces on team, a growing congregation, journeying with the Table family of churches, carrying renewed faith for the adventure ahead.
The church itself was built over 150 years ago, and its mission has always been to play its part in seeing people come alive spiritually, physically, socially and emotionally. Known as a centre of hospitality, community and compassion, St Saviour’s built a Mission Hall in 1902 that has hosted many local events over the decades including film nights, gardening clubs, even a gym! Our long-term vision is to bring this amazing and unique space back to life so that it can once again be a dynamic hub in this part of London. Find out more here.
At the core of St Saviour’s identity is a deep desire to follow Jesus as we proclaim his grace and embody it in action. Our hope and prayer is that anyone can find home here and discover God’s amazing love.
For those that are new or wanting to join the adventure, welcome to the story!
